Can I convert my mp3 to get better sound quality ? NOOoooooo. NOT by re-converting. Any audio data that has been converted to a lossy format has missing parts. Usually very low level, background, sounds and hard to hear frequencies are removed. Gone ! There is no way you can get them back. Converting to another format will, at best, give you the same quality with a much bigger size (using lossless conversion). Converting to another lossy format will remove even more information as different algorithms has different ways to compress the audio so removing different parts of it. So how do I get this song sound better ? 1) Re-convert from the original audio file (CD, wav recording) to a higher bitrate or a better format. 2) If it is a public record and you do not have the CD, try to find another version on the internet. 3) If no original recording exist, your only way would be to use an Audio Editor software, like Audacity, and manually do things like noise/distortion removal, equalisation and dynamic modifications. You wont get back the original sounds but it may "sound better". Automatic solutions may exist but are usually expensive and hard to find. If your are patient, and generous :), ALPHA 3 will include and automatic audio, and video, cleaning feature. Cables ? NOOoooooo. |
